So when the initial happy shock of being engaged wore off (quickly after we returned from Disney World) I set a few goals for myself. The first was obviously to get started with B-school, but the second was to get back down to my fighting weight for the wedding. Long story short...I decided that signing up for a road race and then training for it was a better plan than mindlessly going to the gym. This weight-loss plan has since evolved into a comprehensive plan for a healthier lifestyle/3 step program to resembling a trophy wife...but who the HELL wants to read a whole blog about that??? Nothing in the world is more boring to read about (or write about) than someone else's exercise plan.
A lot of people have asked me how the race went though and I wanted to say something other than the usual "It was great!" "I overdid the last half mile" "I can't believe I actually did this!" responses I gave. So here are the songs that I listened to on my 3 mile trek and what was going through my mind as I heard them. Enjoy!
